CSOLPERU – CAMPOSOL’S WAWA WASI “RAYITO DE SOL” SUPPORTS THE ELDERLY FROM CHAO WITH A LITERACY WORKSHOP
Posted On: August 11, 2021The District Municipality of Chao, through the Comprehensive Care Center for the Elderly (CIAM, in Spanish) and the National Solidarity Assistance Program “Pension 65,” and with the intervention of Productive Knowledge, began the “Literacy workshop” addressed to the elderly from the district of Chao. This workshop will also have the help and participation of teachers from Camposol’s Wawa Wasi “Rayito de Sol”.
The main goal of this workshop is to improve the quality of life of the elderly by increasing their self-esteem and financial autonomy and achieving their social inclusion.
During the opening event, the elderly showed their abilities in the exhibition of weaves, instrumental music (with quena), and singing. Furthermore, youth from Cultural Thursdays and the Municipal Office for the Care of People with Disability (OMAPED, in Spanish) also participated in this event.
